From 1 July 2004, every new house and apartment in Victoria has been required to meet the new 5 Star Energy Efficiency standard. This is a key feature of the Victorian government’s environmental policy and will help save our limited energy and water resources.

Healthy House offers twenty years experience in the building industry with particular emphasis on residential energy efficiency, sustainability and indoor air quality. We are accredited raters for First Rate energy efficiency rating for residential housing and multi-unit developments.

To ensure you meet current regulations and also to maximize the energy efficiency of your design we work with you or your architect/designer/builder to:

• provide a comprehensive design overview;
• maximize performance of your design;
• deliver cost-effective solutions;
• reduce energy use by at least 50%;
• enable a high level of comfort all year round throughout your house or apartment;
• ensure the right mix of insulation and double glazing if required; and
• advise on and source energy efficiency products and materials.

We can work with you either in the initial concept stage or with completed designs.

Remember good design for energy efficiency is not expensive in the planning stage!
